Project critically reflects on actual subjects by exploiting social, political and cultural issues in a particular region --
10x10-inch audio objects contained within b/w posters of A1 sheets.
Home-made technique of engraving grooves on X-Ray film of artist’s body so that it becomes a music record. Displayed on light boxes and played as regular vinyl records.
MUSIC ON BONES
As a commentary on the link between art and capitalism, this project assigns a value to the cultural capital of an artist or artwork. It reveals the materiality and composition of an artwork through establishing a system of “(non)value-measurement”.
Project proposes a new type of value representation – the Priceless Unit – which attributes value to the immaterial: maximum ideas and the minimum materiality are assigned the highest value. The project engages artists, theorists and intellectuals to assign prices to the priceless through various actions, statements and gestures.
